Telco (nice fire card)
Cd/DVD
Cd/DVD
Peripheral

Those ATI fire category cards including the mxm and scalers always fall into telco. Originally expensive they are very good quality.
The Xilleon posted here is actually at the low end of the line. This is the dedicated encoder decoder card. The ic in the middle is actually a full fledged K5 series CPU. Showing how yesterday's tech powers today's standards.

I'll hazard the guess this was a plasma or 2.5k LCD display?

Lol, lodos the top there's only 2 boards there, front and back of both of them are shown.
The fire card is totally dead (Lightning strike victim)

These were from a large LCD projection TV that was a victim of a lightning strike.

So, did you see what I said about there only being 2 boards? Front and back of both, I know now that the top is telco, but what about the bottom?

Second one will go as a cd/DVD in my opinion as it's a signal processor board.

Would the top be peripheral? I'm asking about the top one because it looks more like midgrade, just a couple of caps on the other side.
The bottom one I know is peripheral, but do I have to remove the metal brackets, or can they stay on?

Top one is midgrade
Bottom leave them be. You'll probably damage the board removing them anyway since they're almost always soldered wedge pegs

Thanks, my yard has started buying boards themselves, low and midgrade I can get the same price for there as here, but not for the others!
I don't plan on stripping this one, but if I did, would those just be regular IC chips?

Yes they're ICs
