Picture it, it's 1990, you're driving down a secluded piece of highway in rural apalcha near a equally secluded small town. All of a sudden you hit a bump in the road, your CD player skips, you hit anther bump and now you're CD player is playing Kiss, but you don't recognize it because it's playing backwards, in a panic you toss the CD player out the window! because you now just entered the twilight zone!!!
OK as much as I'd like to believe someone tossed this car CD player out the window more likely it fell out of the bed of a pickup truck. I found it on the side of the highway outside my town which amazingly is a good place to hunt for scrap.
the drive is beat to hell and the PCB in it is cracked, rusty and beat up, to bad to send as is, so ill pull the chips off it.

As you can see its rather bad off. I chose to cut the wires off, strip the brass out of the RCA ends and cut the ICs off the board. The rest I tossed in the steel shred pile.
Time spent about 15 minutes. payout 19 cents or 76 cents a hr oof, not a good pay out.
