Plastic is still the hardest material. Beatles are useful but we have way too much.
I’m not against, personally, return to more metal in products. They cost more but last longer. I still have a working laser printer from 1984. (Toner is the only problem). Today everything is plastic and everything is disposable. That’s the problem. We need to stick to ONE plastic in building things and have a platform in place for recycling it. Why are there 17 different plastics in my coffee machine?
More importantly we need a national law for marking-identification. Everything should be marked. Permanently. 304 or 308 or 410 steel. Pc-abs plastic vs abs. Al vs Al-Sn vs Al-Sn-Ni-Fe Etc.
