I am having trouble getting rid of the ABS computer plastic. Looking for some ideas if anyone can help.

Head to the yellow pages site and enter your zip code and search for plastic
Then just call or email any plastics companies around you.
If you’re near a large city you can also call some of the larger steel yards and scrap recyclers.
It’s one of the, comparatively, more valuable plastics.

ABS is currently floating between 40c and 60c per lb.
in the last few years it’s been as high as well over a dollar and as low as 25c.
It’s value comes from the fact that it’s the most used industrial plastic and second most used consumer plastic. There’s little involved in reuse beyond melting it to a semi-liquid and forming a new shape.
In recycling the most difficult issue with it is colour.
With dozens of manufacturers using different pigments; the horror.

If you’re ever bored it’s one of the more interesting things you could look up and read about. It’s even edible! And digestible. Some production companies use it as a coating for compressed power caplets for OTC and Rx pils.

So even if you can’t move it in scrap and plastics industries think outside the box. Call chemical companies, toy manufacturers, etc.
Some want 1000lbs or more. Others are only interested if you have a few dozen lbs or less. So guesstimate how much you have and hit the phones; and don’t be discouraged by the nos.

I have contacted three companies so far. All have told me no. The first one will buy it in 10,000Lbs amounts or more. That company is Vikoz. For those that may save up that amount. The second doesn't want plastic from e-waste at all. The third wants larger amounts as well, but is concerned about prices. Still emailing them about amounts. With little to no luck. One other concern they have mentioned is metal infused in ABS. Not sure why that is a concern for them. I think they just don't work with ABS and don't want to say so. This being because they will if they can be supplied a certain amount. I'm not giving up yet. Just my experience so far.

I am also considering a partnership with anyone in Iowa/Minnesota area to collectively save up a large amount to be able to send to a larger buyer. I know that this is most likely not to happen but if there is anyone with interest I would like to know. At most so far I have saved up anywhere from a few hundred pounds to just shy of 1000Lbs a month. Sorry if this is against the rules. I don't think it would be since boardsort does not buy the plastic. I have found a few possible suppliers of electronics but the issue for me at the moment is space to store that much plastic. I do work in a weld shop. That I am trying to design a compactor or baler to help with this problem.

That’s actually a legitimate issue. Metallic plastic, like metallic paint, uses actual metal powders in it. If properly sorted before hand it shouldn’t be an issue. But mixed in it could ruin the supply chain.

I was saying that in regards to them taking plastic from e-waste. They should already know that there is metal in it and should already know how to deal with it. So I guess my point is I don't think they take that kind of plastic at least not without having more supply at one time. Otherwise that should not be an issue. But that is just my take on it so far.

Yes, I agree. Metallic plastics are usually dealt with in recycling via the metals industry, not the plastics.
