Unfortunately we were forced to break our Gold Finger Card grades into 4 different grades.
As a general rule, all heatsinks and fans should be removed from all boards. For some reason many customers fail to do so when it comes to Gold Finger Cards.
Therefor we needed to create a few grades just for those customers.
Trimmed Finger Cards: - MUST be free of heatsinks and fans. There is no grade for trimmed cards with fans/hs still attached. If you trim a card and still leave the hs or fan on, it will be midgrade. Side bracket left on is ok. You have the card in hand, finish the job.
Oversize Finger Cards:
- This is a card where the heatsink and/or fan is still attached and it weighs more than the card itself.
Low Grade Finger Card:
- This is a Gold Finger Card that still has the heatsink and/or fan attached.
Gold Finger Card No HS No Fan WITH Bracket:
- This is the traditional grade of Gold Finger Card. Remove HS and Fan, leave metal mounting side bracket on.
Gold Finger Card No HS No Fan NO Bracket:
- Clean gold finger card. Heatsink and fan removed, side bracket REMOVED, no metal or wire attached.
And of course, as with all material, harvesting of non-socketed or soldered cpu's, flatpacks or BGA chips from the finger cards will result in an automated downgrade.
