I understand that Boardsort is working on an AI-based e-waste identification tool—something along the lines of the now-defunct OSCAR. That would be incredibly valuable for guys like me who are still figuring things out. It might even save me from constantly pestering everyone for help. Does anyone know how the project is progressing or when it might be rolled out?

You're in the same boat as us.

Until it reappears or something gets put on the news section we just get to wait.

As far as pestering us...that's what the forum is for, scrappers helping scrappers.

The best AI tool is the one built into our brains, just saying.

Yep, Austin, you're right but for some of us that can be a real problem!

I do believe Chris said June or July in his most recent YouTube post.

The few people who used the tool in its first round that were experienced graders all said the same thing on site and off, um…!

What I threw at it was about 90-something percent accurate for the most common boards and about half right on anything that takes a second look.

I think the amount of training required to get this up in running with better accuracy just means spending time.
Best anyone can do for now is use the what is it topic to get answers from people until mr Oscar is ready for work. He’s a good ai, just needs some more training time. ;)

They didn't buy a robot for the new warehouse did they? Give Oscar an arm or two to do some sorting?
