I was wondering if gold flex cable was worth saving and, if so, who buys it?

Boardsort takes them as wire.

If you have a lot of them, and the time to spend, and you have a local pawn or coin shopper of reputable persuasion, and they are willing and interested—all the above? You can cut the gold contact ends off.

Most flat wire is 20:1 weight according to the three buyers I use who all are very close in their weight reductions.
