 Post subject: Multiple Gold Tab BGAs

Wanted to float a bit of a moral dilemma by the group and use a recent board as an example. When you have a board like this with 3 gold tab BGA, what do you do? It will likely be peripheral high grade regardless if there are 1 or 3 BGAs, so would I be more of a fool to submit with all 3, or a scumbag to remove 2 and submit the chips separately for an additional payout?

Depending on how many you have, do the math. Place a value on your time and compare as is with no labor to removing tabs. Its probably not worth the time unless you have a bunch of them. I probably would submit them as is regardless.

The moment you depopulate it drops the board grade.
They are quite firm on that.

Just leave them in unless You are going to strip the board completely.
