Checked the price of boards just now. An anomaly has appeared, where low grade board is listed as equal in value to the midgrade board. Now to me, that is like expecting to take Cinderella dancing, and then find out you are having the same fun with her stepsister. Not that I mind the doubling of quoted payment for low grade. It does mean that I will recover some low grade that I didn't think worth removing before.

I verified that it is correct; though sorting class is a must!

Chris wasn’t specific and may not have an exact reason. Other than their prices go up so ours do.

My guess is it’s because of tin. Part of the issue with low grade boards is the solder is about the only thing going for it. Since what makes low and mid boards so unvaluable (heavy steel, capacitors, transformers) requirements much more solder for keeping things in place ... there’s an excess in tin.
Which has doubled in clean base rate this last few weeks.
Plastics are up too.

With minerals dragging ceramic CPU prices ever higher this may be a good healthy sign for scrappers. But I’ll give it another month before I do anything more than smile at rising prices.
