I don't know if anyone can help me but I'm hoping for some advice. I have acquired 2 "Hatch" computers. They are an all in one unit intended for preschool and kindergarten aged kids with age appropriate software. They turn on and are operational. They are running an old version of windows (7), but has like a 300 GB HD. I have tried to look them up to sell on eBay or something but I cant find where anyone is selling them or has sold them. A local computer shop offered me $10 bucks a piece. I figured I could scrap for more than that. Is that the route I should take or are there any other options?

They are the definition of bare minimum. A few different manufacturers involved in the supply chain; but generally they’re not worth much.
The motherboard is an reduced size ITX,
bare minimum memory.
oversized, but slow, hard drive.

The whole system is basically a commodity embedded system. Which is very different than an all in one. $20 is actually reasonable.
I wouldn’t try to part it. The boards have the same (rightful) stigma as the ECS/ENT motherboards in low end Dell and HPs. Short run custom integration layout that fits nothing else. They may not even have module ram stick, opting for soldered ram.

I’d also be surprised if you can up with $20 in scrap.
Or even the $10 offered to you.
Personally I’d take the $10 offer and run if they turn down your counter offer of $20. And 2nd attempt at $15! Lol.
Good luck.
