I am new to Boardsort and have been reading forums like crazy trying to get things straight in my mind about identifying various e-Scrap. I've looked at the materials identifying charts but still have questions. I will no doubt be posting some pics in the identifying forum section, to get input as to what I have, but I just thought I would ask this is general.

1. Is it fair to say, that any board that has surface mount soldered chips/ic's with some Gold plated pins and is dual layers with both sides containing chips, as High grade peripheral?

2. Would it be fair to say that any board that is single sided but still has gold plated pins like Floppy disk drive boards is still peripheral? But is iy a lower grade? Any input deeply appreciated. JT

1 generally yes

2 generally yes. however Floppy drive boards will generally go as high peripheral. just because they do. ;)
