How do I tell the difference between low grade and high grade GFC?? Is it just having the fan/heat sink makes it the lower grade? Or is there something else I should be looking for?

Second question...when sorting my small/metal socket green boards...(and even colored ones as far as that goes)...do I need to keep metal socket separate from the plastic or can they all go together?

on the GFC go go as clean you need to pull provided they have: the fan, any heat shields, heat sinks and the metal bracket.

the MB need to be separated by colored small socket and colored metal socket
green small socket and green socket

as far as I know laptop MB no matter the color goes as laptop MB

hint for you that might help.....click on the payout rates tab at the top you can move your curser over the different grades and it will open a picture.

Always separate metal from plastic sockets.

I just noticed this and wondered about the metal and plastic sockets. The payout page says "Small or Metal Socket GREEN Motherboard" and the picture is of a plastic socket MB. I think the last batch of boards I sent in had metal socket and plastic socket MBs all together.

Somewhere in the last few months the system changed to quoting small and metal together.
It’s still ideal but to sort them from each other even if they quote together.
Mainly because things could change again. But it’s good practice.

I’m sure most are combining them hem but I still put the metal and plastic sockets in separate piles first.
