Are these all considered CD-rom boards . I realize ribbons and motors need to be removed. On the bottom 2 boards that are connected by ribbon cables are both boards considered Cd-rom? I forgot to put numbers on the boards so
top left = 1
top right = 2
bottom left = 3
bottom right = 4

1. Yes, CD ROM board
2. Yes, also CD ROM board
3. The green board is a CD ROM board, the tan board is not (low grade).
4. The tan board is low grade, and I'm not sure about the motor but I'd probably put it in with motors and transformers.

I think the brown board with the motor attached by the wire is a floppy board, because it looks like all other floppy boards and the motor looks like a floppy motor.

Is board 1 from a jazz drive? If so, it should go as an HDD board.

It may have been from a Zip drive.

Honestly didn’t think about floppy drives, I thought it was as spindle motor with a magnet, which are common in slot loading drives in game consoles

If it is indeed a floppy drive board, he motor needs to come off and the brown board separated.

Zip drives are over sized floppy discs.
Where Jazz drives were miniature platter interchangeable hard drives.

You’ll want to separate the brown board from the motor.

Floppy drive boards with pins go as peripheral.
Since Zip drives used the same connector I believe they would be the same.
