Heres a modem cboard.I assume as is it is low grade. So it weighs in at 5.8 oz. which makes it worth 18 cents (not counting shipping ). what should be removed to raise the value of this card, if it can even be done. There isn't anything on the back side.2 small metal shields have already been torn off.I'll remove what you say and re-weigh the card.

Its got a few ICs and a flatpack so I wouldn't call it low grade. It looks like it has coax connectors on it so get them off and check the weight again.

Now without coax = 4.137 oz. - this would = 26 cents if peripheral low or possibly 67 cents for high peripheral. coax connectors are aluminum or stainless i cant tell = 1.65 oz

High peripheral. Don’t remove anything else.

Take connector to a grinder and if it sparks, it will be stainless. Also check with a magnet.

If the connector is heavy, does not stick, and does not spark, it is probably machined die cast zinc. I believe I have seen similar connectors that were made from machined zinc. Or it is brass that has been plated, take a file to it to tell. Check with a magnet as listed above.

Barely magnetic and filed down still looks silver : zinc or aluminum maybe

Some sort of stainless or it has a steel component such as a ring or support rods.

Looking at the photo here’s my guess;
A low nickel stainless connector unit with copper connector inlay. Mounted in a zinc housing, the cube, with a stainless support ring.
