 Post subject: CRT boards

Couldn't find this info....on the old TV/CRT power boards, does the large transformer (that has almost no value) have to be removed even for the low grade? Search didn't find anything (words too common).

Nope, it can stay. If you remove it you have an almost worthless piece of light iron and a board that weighs less. ;)
