If I'm able to get unlimited supply of these processor or similar would I be able to sell them fairly easy?

Sell...
As scrap; yes you can sell to Boardsort.

As working chips; do you have the equipment to test them?

As something else?

Seems Cryptobro was blowing smoke up everyone's arses..
I was half excited to hear about his UNLIMITED quantities of desirable processors for vintage builds, but oh well.
At least he isn't peddling maxed out Runescape accounts...

I was waiting for some sort of actual reply. Because I’m aware of where the 4 largest stores of working 486 chips are. And was really hoping someone found another cache and would lower tested prices a bit.

So here we go with an actual answer:

Sell as scrap? Easy. Boardsort pays the highest commercial rate average on what is accepted as this ‘class’ of chips.

Refine for gold? Maybe. If you have a 50000 sq ft facility and utilise a combination of acid melt, electrolysis, and distillation: you can harvest more value in materials than boardsort pays. You need tonnage that infinit would supply.

Selling as usable chips? As long as they work and you package them correctly, yes. Absolutely. Especially the crossover and hybrids!
Ebay shows regular tested and verified prices starting in the $50 range and running well into the hundreds for hybrids like the 512kb 133MHz K5 SS7 cpu. A famous OC chip reaching 400MHz+ speeds on fan. Setting the 80486 record a decade ago at 999MHZ with lqN cooling.

I warn people a lot though: don’t mess around with the retro community. Small as it is it’s filled with every aspect of society, extremely loyal, and very well connected. As in call up Woz or Cook or Wu on the phone and talk connections at the longer involved levels.
Don’t scam this community! There are many who would drop thousands on a fraud case over a $50 chip.

But yes, all doom-saying aside this is a friendly and dedicated community, retro tech, always looking at buying. Often without actually reason or need.
