Sorry For the Dumb questions, you might get a lot from me as I am new.

I actually have a E-Scrap yard here near me that I have been taking my boards to, but I think through you I can be making more money. Low Grade and Mid- Grade boards I will for sure continue to take to them. They just aren't worth the shipping and trouble.

The question I have is what about the Video cards on TVs and Monitors. I looked and couldn't find where these would go. What Category would they be placed.

One note, if you're the one removing those boards, make sure you aren't breaking the glass, those board to panel connections peel off extremely easily. No reason to break the glass which contains toxic material. You don't want to cut yourself with any of that.

Thank you Marked141, Yes I am aware. I try my best not to break the panels and where gloves at all times. I can take them to my local yard, but they charge me to take the panels. Which is why I am trying to get as much as humanly possible out of the rest of the TVs. TVs dont seem to be a big money maker for me.

Depending on the state you live in:

I found the largest money maker in displays to be plasma TVs.
I say this cautiously though. You really need to be careful with plasma screens. However:

They have massive control boards that are at minimum high peripheral and commonly make a telco class.
The have a higher aluminium back plate for support and heat distribution. Often dozens of pounds.
Older less flat ones have a giant finned aluminium copper heat sink.
They have gold ribbon black flat wire that can be sold to refiners

The catch is extremely dangerous internal gases. You’re unlikely to release the gases if you drop it or break the front outer glass. But removing the back plate involves heat, much torque, and some twisting. Breaking the screen from behind is where the danger is.
So before you attempt to play with a plasma screen do your research. Read up on the topic at iFixit and DIY. Etc.

Disposal of the screen itself is often at a cost. But I found you can easily get $20-$50 from a display most would give you for free. Disposal is rarely above $10.

And if they work, controller boards sell in the hundreds on eBay.

I have not had the courage to take the Plasma screens 2nd Panel apart yet. I have 4 of them in my garage and was just going to take them to my local shop who will take them, at a cost.
I beleive its $.20 a pound for Plasma. So yea that is going to hurt, plus I have to take the LCD panels to them, which those are so light it really wouldn't be that bad.

Most yards around me just refuse to deal with TVs altogether. So not a lot of options.
