This looked like a lot went into it so I grabbed. 1ˢᵗ time looking at it. Each blue disc looks the same both sides. Each has a white disc with four contacts that sits on top. The post is brass maybe.

Could be silver connectors and solder but you’d need to check it yourself.

What kind of system did that come from? Looks like a lot of options on that switch!

I don't know specifically. The switch is bigger than it looks. I thought I had included an image of the panel to help id. The steel has that much corrosion but the switch was perfect. There are 2 more discs that aren't being used.

Looks like a 4:1 I/O serial box. Interesting there’s two extra switches. Means the manufacturer made different boxes but used the same parts.

Yes, and no.
Based on the little I can gather from the photos.
I believe I count 15 pins.
I’d guess a terminal switch off hand. Telnet or VoT?

Could also be an 8 bit keyboard and mouse. That din looks like mini XT.

Could be industrial. Serial and error correction.

Or 20-bit vax

Or any number of things. And in later days, whatever the user decided to do with it.

You’re probably right though, keyboard and mouse. Prior to the Aptiva era, d-sub and din connectors were for mouse and keyboard on many computers

To me it looked like audio video. Those look like vga plugs and those do look like mouse/keyboard but they also look like audio plugs. I thought mouse or keyboard and monitor but that setup wouldn't make much sense. Why would it be switched that way. I also can't figure why to switch between monitors and audio signals. This came from a city gov. along with some office phones and other junk.

Found it!!!

BKL had it.

It’s a splitter for audio and video.
A monitor splitter.
5 pin audio
And 15 pin VGA.
