Whole laptops/cellphones, does this include the battery? I know boardsort stopped taking batteries individually and there is still a cell phone with battery category...so what's the the current policy?

I guess I'm also wondering if a whole laptop ends up at boardsort, is there any attempt at refurbishing them and therefore the battery is useful to have, or is it just an additional hazard regardless and shouldn't be sent?

I thought the answer was somewhere and I don't know how I missed it when I looked at the time I posted this but, unless there has been any other updates this post has the answer.

No batteries with the laptop. The whole refers to screen and internals (especially hard drive and video).

Cellphones with battery are ONLY sealed phones. If you can remove the battery (exchangeable) it needs to be removed.
