I am relatively new to e-scrap. So. I tore apart a lot of phones. Mainly out of curiosity. So. I ended up with a lot of flex circuitry. Also. From other electronics I have taken apart.
I got about 3 lbs of this stuff. Already understand Boardsort doesn't purchase flex circuitry like I have outright.
I see similar stuff being sold online. But. I am looking for further information from experienced e-scrappers on. What to do?
It is my opinion that Flex Circuitry is an eventual accumulation of tearing down modern day electronics.

Chips go as ic

Connectors go as gold pin connectors

Soft wire is mixed wire.
Most of the hard pieces you can peel the wire off. The rare solid hard squares go from midgrade to high peripheral

So. Are these considered Connectors?
Or did I misunderstand Lostinlodos?

The smaller connectors are just that, connector ends.

The flat wire ends have bounced around over time but your safe in connector ends.

What I've been doing about cut gold flashing pieces or gold plated finger ribbon ends, is saving them separately with gold fingers. I've tested them to have the same if not better ratios with the gold fingers but we do not accept them as Gold Fingers. If you accumulate enough poundage and have BS test it, I assume they would calc' a price for it.
As lost said though, they go for gold connector ends as of now.

Thanks for the reply Spence1015. I comtemplated selling them online as a "Refiner's Special" But. Currently. Can't be certain.

The general problem is that they are vary inconsistent.
Some do have better ratios than ram fingers.
Others make gold pins look good.

And often junk jewellery pays better so…
