Are there buyers for this type of e-waste? I use a heat gun to tear down my boards for chips and end up with a lot of misc. This is the chaff from my first small load of teardowns.

If you know what you have and the quantity to interest potential buyers, short answer, yes.

Lostinlodos is probably the best person here to give advice on that. My advice generally is don't tear down anything more than you have to, especially if you don't know what to do with all the pieces once you've done it. It takes up time you could be spending doing other things.

As far as what I see here, lots of loose gold plated pins (Boardsort buys), some connector ends that still have gold plated pins in them (Boardsort buys), lots of aluminum (presumably) capacitors (Boardsort might accept, contact them before sending) and various other items.

The average steel buying yard will simply take that as steel shred. And for the good and bad of it, that’s probably exactly where it will go, in with the steel nuts and bolts.

You have at least 3 connector ends (have to be told ) and a bunch of pins to sort out of the pile.
The capacitors may be an issue. Some yards accept the , some don’t. If they do, every yard is different on how they accept them. Most call them a sealed unit, the same class for hydraulics and fire extinguishers etc.
