I was using the search feature to look for a photography thread but couldn't find one, so i hope i'm not making a duplicate.

i don't have a lot to share but curious what y'all have in terms of ewaste photography. in my opinion a lot of electronic components can be very beautiful.
do you take artsy photos of boards/components? what are the most beautiful ones you have come across? do you have any on display?

i'll go first. I'm obsessed with CMOS image sensors and i have a 2001 cisco 10/100 switch displayed on my bedroom wall. I also have a board from an amp and a 1992 hp netserver motherboard i'm planning on hanging up somewhere in the house.
i know the majority of these are not "artsy" or "nice" photos, but rather just cool components. i'm going to try to keep in mind though, that it would be much nicer to really attempt some good photography when i come across interesting parts/boards.

Beauty of anything. Is subjective. You personally like it. That's you. Others sometimes can not appreciate what you do. I am a good example of this. I like parts and such from the 1960's. Even before. Why? I understand the industry at the time. I appreciate many of the outstanding engineering feats that were accomplished. As for what you posted. Not for me.That is not an insult. Deep appreciation of anything comes from learning. Yes. Something can catch your eye. But. Deep appreciation comes with understanding the artist's every brush stroke. I am sure you understand were I am coming from.
Good luck with your endeavour.

There is a thing where circuit board designers add art to their boards. That's been discussed on here before.

I have some interesting macro shots of some different things too

Yeah. I saw the posts on board art. In my day. It was basically the company logo. That is all. Now we even have die chip art. Silicon doodle art. I uploaded one example probably amongst millions.

I also read an article how enigineers are creating small nano bots from silicon. Actual small mechanical bots that can move. As in walk. And of course. It is expanding into the medical industry. Where these nano bots are injected into a patient and they will clean one's arteries.

Also can be a weapon. CIA stuff of course. Nano bots can be blown into the enemy's face. He inhales the dust. And the nano bots eventually kill the enemy from within.
