Greetings Boardsorters,

I used to turn circuit boards into jewelry and art because I was trying to find ways to reuse e-waste in my IT career. I wish I knew about this site years ago.

So I've read through all the doc I could find and perused the forums a bit.

I'm using this board as a POC.

I believe I need to remove the battery #1?
Is #2 a shield that needs to be removed?
I imagine I should remove the ribbon from the back?
Anything else I should remove?

What grade board is this? I'm going to guess low grade peripheral because so few ICs?

1. No, that is just a huge capacitor
2. Yes you should remove the shield. You should also remove the yellow transformer or it will probably be midgrade.

Yes this should be low peripheral.

Oh, hahaha, of course that's a capacitor. I just glanced at it and didn't think much about it.
