So I recently came into possession of around 120 IP speakers, and every one of the them has this board. Now, I believe that the board itself could be considered high grade peripheral, not sure it qualifies as low grade telecom, but if it is low grade telecom that’s fantastic. On each of the boards is this RAM looking piece. Other than the shape, doesn’t really look like a RAM stick. Not sure what to classify it as - gold fingered RAM or clean gold fingered cards

Most likely Gold finger card, clean. The other two, High Per.

I'm not familiar enough with different IC chips. It's possible there's some doing RAM functions on that. It could also be serving as storage and/or handling some of the networking. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I did look up the company to see if there were any specs that could give an indication of what that particular "ram" stick does but I couldn't find anything useful.

I tried looking up what that "RAM" stick did, and I have an inquiry into the company to see if they can tell me what the purpose of it is. I feel like if I don't have an good answer one way or another, I can put them in as either clean gold finger cards or gold RAM, but keep them all separate from everything else, and when it gets to Boardsort, they can change the grade of it.

Not trying to game it at all, but the difference in the pricing for those two categories is quite different, and I don't necessarily want to have them work harder on it.

If each of the speakers has it that's definitely a viable way to go, pick a price point on the quote for them and email/call Chris to let him know you've separated out x amount from "grade" for verification.

Can also email now with a link to this thread and see if he can provide input beforehand, fall back to plan A if you don't hear from him by the time you're ready to ship

NOTE TO EARL: You should post your grading/identification pictures in a separate post and not in someone elses post. Administration/Moderators my either move them or ask you to repost in a new topic under this. It is appropriate to post a picture showing the same or similar board which Boardsort has accepted in a known class, to help answer the originally asked question on identification.

So I have finally heard back from the manufacturer of said boards that came out of the IP speakers. the smaller RAM looking board is the control board for the speaker, and has a small processor IC chip on it, as well as some memory capabilities. Decided to send it along to Chris and see what he thinks, cause now I can see both categories - gold fingered RAM and clean gold finger card - for it. The larger board it came off of I'm going to put in peripheral high grade.
