Looks like the pins are gold plated.
Yes. Cut the wire off.
Submit the rest as Connector Ends.

The plastic cover on the back tends to be fairly easy to remove. Then you can pop that off and cut the wire closer to the connector end.

Marked141. Am I missing something?
If you look at the Connector Ends video in the E-scrap price list. What you suggested is unnecessary.
Is there a better price for cleaning beyond what is in the video?

**** Is there a better price for cleaning beyond what is in the video*****

No , but 2 thoughts/opinions

1. Boardsort’s prices are based on a rolling formula of their profit margin from the category, so if all of us send connector ends with a little extra/unnecessary junk, their profit goes down so they lower what they pay us for them. Vice-versa if their profit margin goes up.

2. For shipping purposes, the more you get in a box the more profit, so the smaller the items the more items. So If it only takes 5 seconds to pop off while you already have it in your hand, why not increase your personal profit and Boardsort’s and help keep prices up for all the scrappers.

In response to bw489822.
#1 point. Overall as a collective group. E-scrappers won't voluntarily participate in cleaning connector ends without some type of up front incentive put before them. For example. Cleaned Connector Ends vs Uncleaned Connector Ends.
Yes. The dynamics are there of better prices for cleaning. But. The results are not established. As a category on the price list. Result. They would clean for the "pie in the sky" category.
#2 point. I do concern myself with what you said. I mail in exclusively. I consider shipping weight and volume taken up in a package. I will clean when it makes sense.
I would say a clean weight versus unclean weight affecting mailing rate study is called for. But connector ends are so randomn and inconsistent. I guess just " fly by your pants" whether you clean or not.
Good points bw489822.
