13 was an error on my part. I apologise for that. It’s peripheral.

Sorry for all the questions but if I broke off the L shaped part on #13 would it go as a CD Rom board?

Lol! mdesscrapper You know you don’t represent 99% of the people who come to boardsort to rid themselves of e-scrap!!!!!!!!!!
Too funny. Great job!

And you of all people should understand my 5:25 grading.
Half height drives lasted Apx 4 years.
You’ve got late tail end half height drives btw which given your post record you are well aware of. Half height drives are themselves a fluke. Like EDO ram. Please just be patient and sell them on eBay. They don’t exist in any quantity. The materials involved may be finicky but are resilient. Most can be LLFd with a DEL-c despite “read errors”.
In other words don’t scrap those. Please!

The most recent of 5.25” drives are IDE which is, contrary to every major retail dunce’s opinion, VERY different from ATA 1.x: ide 2.1

Owning, and USING, multiple 1978-1984 computers I fully understand more than most what unrequited love really means.

The ONLY and SOLE thing that kills a full or half height 525 permanently is a head crash.
(Even then it’s a matter of Severity) under 50% damage and most controllers will accommodate skipping damage).
