Hey, I am new Here. I've been saving parts for a while and wanted to cash in.
I've been having a hard time identifying which boards fallls under which catagories.

For instance, I have a whole lot of random small boards that came out of mice and small electronics. I wll post of pictures of some it. I jusst want clarification what falls under the catogory of peripherals?

Also, I got alot of old boards from the 80s and 90s and as I was sorting through them I was pulling out the icc chips and flatpacks that were snap in place, not soldered. But as i have been reading through this forum the past couple of days, I see that removing anything except for heatsinks and cpus it is considered depopulating and I would get less $$$. Is this is true for the chips that were not soldered in the first place. IF so, is it worth my time to go back and put them back on?

I will be sending out in several waves photos of boards if you can help me sort them out. I would greatly appreciate it!

Generally you’re fine removing socketed ICs and in most cases it’s advantageous to do so.

High telco
Gold finger card (clean with bracket)
Pop the heatsink for high telco
Gold finger card (clean with bracket )
Gold finger card (because I know what it is)
Low grade gold finger card
Gold finger card (clean with bracket)
IC chips

Lol: No. I know the value and have sent boards from the same series. Identical or nearly.

And yes it’s a data device controller
More specifically a Compaq diagnostics memory and I/O throughput controller.
The value is there for this board despite the low end appearance was what I was trying (and failed) to point out.
