I have loads of these from an auction buy and pulled apart one or two of them and found them to be full of telecom grade goodies so am wondering if they could stay on the boards without bringing down the value

im also wondering if there are any other boards that they accept as hard drive boards besides actual hard drive boards because i have many little boards that seem like they are even higher value than lots of hard drive boards. for instance the two pieces that have two boards mounted together in the photos without the semiconductors attatched

Mix from midgrade to high telco.

Hard drive class would likely based on a specific set of ICs on most single board hard drives since the late 70s.
The answer is yes, there are boards that go as hard dive board that are not hard drive boards.

Stacked boards need to be separated. Otherwise they’re peripheral. (Or lower)
The top left upper board may make hard drive depending on the back. That’s a full signal processor asic on the top and helps.
