Hello everyone!

This is my first time scrapping and I need help in identifying the circuit board and power adapter.

The circuit boards were from Merlin 820D2 Control Unit.

Is a bit of plastic okay? I tried to take off the plastic but it looks like it’s attached via rivet.

Regarding the power adapters, they were old laptop chargers. Are they also classified as power adapters?

Also, I have another question. Does anyone know how to remove the cover from the slotted processor? (Ie: INTEL PENTIUM II SLOT-1) Or is okay to leave it as if?

Thank you for your help!

Don't send the larger red board in yet, it loos like it may have a wetted mercury relay on it (the component that looks like a loaf of bread, that is somewhat copper colored).

Wait for verification from someone else.

This older types of this kind of stuff seems to have them frequently.

AAK2 has a good eye. Definitely want to check that component. Do not attempt to remove it! If there are any other identifying numbers or manufacturer info on the component post it.

It looks very similar to the one that is posted in this topic.

I'm asking Chris about that component that looks like it might be a mercury relay.

I don't see why not. They would be Power Adapters with Wire.

You should definitely remove it. Post some pictures of it so we might be able to help you.

Yes, that is a mercury relay, good catch! The shape and the "WE" are the giveaway.

In order:

Low Grade Peripheral (mercury board)
Low Grade Telecom
High Grade Peripheral
