Should I be cleaning off extra Steel or just heat sinks ? Thanks

There is a .30c per lb difference if you don't take them off. So ya, if I were you, I would take them off. :)

I did the same with a previous set of boards. I removed the heat sinks and brackets.

I have the brackets adding up in a misc. steel box so I can take to my local metal recycle station when it adds up.

Not sure what to do with the heat sinks though.

Thanks for the info the Heat sinks are usually aluminum they usually are 6061 or 6063 grade of aluminum should bring around fifty cents a pound ,,

Ah Aluminum, true. That's another box for the local recycle station. Bet the Copper ones are more obvious to notice.
