As with the other boards I have posted today, there is some gold plating in all of the connectors.

High peripheral

This is the other board that I questioned the assessment on. The flatpack and IC population alone (I feel anyways) is enough to warrant a low telco grade, and every connector except the power connections have gold in them. Please take no offense to me questioning your grade. I am still pretty new at this but I feel I have a pretty good eye for it. If I am wrong, great but please explain why so I can learn. My reason for high peripheral here is the open area of the board and the large connection ports.
Thats a lot of plastic weight vs gold plating on the pins.
Perviously before the grade splits this would have been peripheral.
You can email Chris directly and ask him, it might take a couple of days but Chris WILL respond.

Lost used to grade most all of the boards and answer questions, it looks as though he isn't grading anymore? I was hoping he would respond to your pictures.

Now that you have explained why you gave these 2 boards (this one and grade help 1) the grade that you did (H. Periph) I understand. I know that you know what you are talking about and I see no reason to bother Chris with this. I question because I don't know. And you sir have explained it quite well. Thank you for taking the time with me. The more I learn, the more valuable I will be to both our companies. See you guys soon as I will be bringing in my loads personally. I have only been doing this for the past 4 or 5 years and I do not have a background in electronics. I too used to argue the point on some boards especially telco (before the grade splits). I still do not fully understand telco. Now we have high peripheral and low telco which only complicates things a bit. High telco is for the most part easy, cut and dry. Low telco and high peripheral are where things are going to get a little fuzzy now. Hopefully Chris will clarify them for you.

Lost keeps an eye on the forum still but has been busy with other projects. I've gotten him to check a couple things for me in the past month or so after I exhausted others' knowledge.

This particular board should be toward the higher end of high peripheral but I wouldn't be comfortable making the call for low telco myself.

I agree with you marked141, I just don't think its quite low telco.
I was wondering what was going on with Lost, he did respond to my question in the general discussion forum.

Chris says it's High Grade Telecom.
