So I've had this for a little while and keep forgetting to post it.
There are individual sockets for the ICs on this stick of RAM and appear to be gold plated springs in the sockets and then a piece of stainless slides over the IC to hold it down.
If I leave the ICs on the stainless has to stay to hold them (unless I tape over them?) which would make it shielded RAM?
If I remove the ICs then the sockets with the plated springs are still there but would just be blank RAM?
