It's def. ceramic. If you look closely at it you can see that there are wafers imbedded in the little gold rectangles. What class do yawl think?

I’ve seen some that look very similar to those used in old HP Peak Power sensors and HP Average Power sensors.

Some of them are quite interesting looking and have added them to my oddball IC, circuit board collection.

The back or board might be some type of ceramic or sintered material. Gold content miniscule. But neat just the same.

Definitely looks like a device that measures, monitors or generates low RF power.

No idea what category they would fall into.

Plain IC maybe. Since gold content to weight of item is small?

I think you absolutely nailed this one Rusty as I am pretty sure that this is an early GM radio RF power module chip. Thank you for your input.
