Having a struggle categorizing these. Lots of tantalum caps and ICs, plus they were out of early 2000s Cisco switches. High telco? Something else?

Top) Not sure exactly what I'm looking at on the upper right side of the board. Looks like there's a heatsink that could come off and maybe a shielded port. The rest of the board is clearly good for high telco, not sure if the other stuff would hold the whole board back.

Middle) High telco. You don't have to but if the port on the lower left disassembles without removing the pins that's something I might do just to keep the stray metal from sticking out. Again, shouldn't affect the grade, just something I might do to help with packing boards to ship.

Bottom) High telco, same note as the middle. And, I can't tell if some of the spots where ICs could be soldered/mounted did or not. If they did and you removed them, just be aware that can affect the grade of the board.

I have several of these types of boards (the one on top). If you notice, they have those gold edges on them. The reason I am mentioning this is if you look at the price page, at the category "Circuit boards" the line that reads "gold cap & gold edge & and CNC boards". They have changed this from just "gold cap chip board". My question then is: are these boards (the one on top) "gold edge boards and not high telco?

The addition to the description on gold capped boards is not something I understand fully at the moment. You may be right, but my uncertainty regarding the components I mentioned before stands and high Telco is the best I'm comfortable saying.

I agree with "marked" on the "gold cap & gold edge & and CNC boards". I took it to mean gold cap chip & gold edge in addition to CNC boards. It could mean gold cap chip boards, and gold edge boards, and CNC boards. Maybe we should start a new discussion topic?

I totally agree with both of you gentlemen. I really think they just managed to muddy the waters with this one. ;) If someone starts a thread on this, please inform me here. Thank you.
