I have lots of boards that I dont know how to grade but figured this is a good place to start. Looking for grades along with any other helpful info. Even useless knowledge is valuable to me. Thanks in advance.
1.) Low or high peripheral?
2.)Stereo power amp from a car, so I assume auto board no box. Will anything bring this up? I figured at auto board rate I'd at least pull the terminals off and throw in my brass cache.
3.)Larger board would be low grade, but the small one is attached with long gold plated pins that are soldered on both boards. No separating the 2 without lots of time. Suggestions?
4.)?
5.)Old stereo equipement. I'm guessing low or mid grade board. I've read about swithes having gold plated contacts and the cutout shows some that came from switches elsewhere on the stereo. Do these go as gold plated pins? And would leaving the switches alone be preferable for boardsort?
6.)Assuming low, possibly mid grade board but have a couple questions. More curiosity than anything else, but what are parts A, B and C? I know a tiny bit about electronic components but havent seen these. A puts me in mind of a memeory module. Is it something I should cut off and throw in a better category?
While I'm at it, I'd like to thank lostinlodos for encouraging me to test some of the equipement I have. I have run into several items that pass the power on test at least and may be worth considerably more than scrap. One particular is a pioneer ct-40. I cant find any sold functioning ones but parts only bring $50-$100. Similar functioning pieces of equipement are bringing $100 - $1000. No clue on this particular model but worth a shot.
