Slightly more unique than what I normally see, I believe this was a satellite capable laptop and I got two at the same time. One had a socketed CPU similar in appearance to the one on this board but this one is not socketed. This appears to have a gold plated heatsink.

I'm leaning high telco on the board with all the chips and gold pins.

Any suggestions on the heatsink?

The board would grade as Telecom Low (copper coils and other containments).

The heatsink I am not quite sure. Instinctively I feel like that is too ridiculous of an amount of plating on a heatsink. Gold is used to transfer heat and not necessarily to dissipate simply it. The gold is used at the contact point of the cpu to the heatsink and typically not the entire piece which is most often aluminum. In this case I suspect this is anodized aluminum (the gold is just a color).

But just to be sure, you are welcome to send it and I can hit it with our XRF gun and see what it reads.

I think the heatsink is gold plated copper, I had/have one and it was/is gold plated copper.
