I was having a hard time deciding how a lot of these boards would be classed (across all his posts) because of how many chips are gone. This #5 in particular has none and the only thing that's left really are the gold fingers, I was thinking low peripheral at best even with the aluminum removed.

On the apple motherboards I was going to try and look up how Lost said the older ones get graded but, with the missing chips, they would likely not get the typical grade, seems like Apple boards can vary pretty easily.

Basically; don't remove socketed ICs unless you are certain the board can maintain it's grade without it.

My reasoning for the grade on 5 was the large finger on the top of it, but that is me. You could trim the finger and put the finger in with gold fingers and then put the board in midgrade, but it is most likely not worth it.

I have generally seen some of those older motherboards go as large socket, but if they have an abnormally large number of chips then they may be able to squeeze into high telecom (I've had a few).
