Saw you're latest post so went back to look. Looks like this post was a combination of image quality and recent MoBo grade changes I'm not 100% on top of. Remember, if you can't get a definitive answer from us after a week or two, email Chris (boardsort) with a link to the topic and he'll answer.

1) Not sure, looks like a laptop board. Then there are missing chips or chips that were never installed, image isn't clear enough for me to tell which.

2) BATTERY! Get that off and, if it comes off easy, the aluminum if you want. I don't think it makes a difference in this case. High peripheral.

3) Not sure. Looks like a MoBo but not a typical (to me) layout.

4) Another image quality issue for me. I can't tell for certain what's going on with the socket (which is the primary identifier). Someone with a better memory on MoBo varieties could probably tell you.

5) Would be okay in high peripheral but I'm thinking low telco is possible.

I will add my two cents, as a rookie so my words arent gospel and dont represent boardsort.

#1- Laptop motherboard. appears to have built in processor right below ram slots, the other spot looks like it had an option for a second processor or more likely was a general HP motherboard used for multiple different laptop specs.

#3- Appears to be a slot processor motherboard but has had its slot as well as additional GFC card slots removed or this board was never completed. Boardsort would likely grade much lower on this board.... maybe green metal socket??

#4- This is a Green metal socket motherboard, the metal clamshell has just been removed. I assume this remains in its category and does not get upgraded to green small socket but i could be wrong (if i am wrong then i have a lot of metal socket clamshells to remove )

I cant speak on where #2 (router board) or #5 (switch board?) would land outside of saying at least low peripheral.

3) I am familiar with slot sockets and I don't see where a slot could have been; this still seems like a specific use motherboard of some sort. So instead of going into a consumer desktop maybe it was in a piece of equipment that required a slightly different layout.

4) After another look at this I can see the circuit board diagram for the release switch for the processor and the cavity in the gray plastic that set in. So it's a P4 Green Mobo. There's really no reason to yank the white plastic and release lever off the socket; especially if you have a lot of them. Doubt anyone will pay $2.25/lb for it.

Well Marked i believe you may be correct in correcting me. #3 i was looking at the contacts parallel to the power connector about midway into the board as being a place a slot connector would be but after looking at my loose slot processors there doesnt seem to be enough contacts on this board for that to be the case.

As for number 4 upon second look i would agree with you on the small socket mobo, first glance it looked like the black plastic that remains after a metal socket is removed but now i see it has 4 widely spaced holes surrounding it which would indicate a pinned processor as opposed to the 3 closely spaced holes that would be present on a metal socket.

This is why I am the rookie that is still asking grading questions myself.

Cheers!

Well I asked for feedback and I got feedback !! Much appreciated. I enjoy the back and forth between those who respond...really helps to learn the "why" of the what it is. Thank you all !

Marked, I might be a bit late to this but #3 is from an HP wide format Plotter (main logic board aka formatter). Not sure if that helps narrow the category. I been saving my printer/copier boards in my High Perph box but haven't run into one this large yet. CR359-60001 is another part # for it.
