Would splitting this board in half close to ic be worth it. If so the one side would be mid and what would the other half go as. Thanks.

I would think so. Cut along the side of the IC's and then also remove the transistor near the gold fingers and I would think it would go as high tele at that point.

Would be a shame to downgrade that nice section of board so heavily for that *mess* on the other side of the board.

Personally I feel that if you left it as one piece, it would be hard to even get it as peripheral high. Feel like its peripheral low as it is so with that big of a difference, would be worth more separated.

Interested to see somebody elses input on the subject though as I only recently breached the topic of cutting up boards for higher returns.

Remove the steel shields and repost; might be worth more than you think intact.

Steel shields and one tiny transformer is all the "heavy" stuff I see that would cause a lower grade. Has connectors and some gold fingers.

Save the keyboard assembly if you havn't chucked it already. This C64 looks rough, so I'm not holding out hope that anything was working, but folks commonly look for replacements, even the keys are worth a few bucks loose for C64 units.

If I remember right I only got a box of boards from where this came from so not sure what happened to the rest of it.
