This board has no chips of any kind that I see. On the back there is nothing. Would I classify it as just a gold finger board?

Sometimes backplane boards with gold fingers can be gold finger boards and sometimes not. Check out board #1 in the first post, then check out picture #3 in the second post.

In this case I don't think there is enough other PM to make the jump to gold finger card. I think you can trim off the fingers and and still classify this as backplane (but I could be wrong).

Thank you. I had considered backplane but wasn't real sure.

This had me thinking about a post from AAK2. After searching a bit I found it. Take a look at the board "P". It looks just like yours and AAK2 says it goes as gold finger card.

I agree! My search was a bit easier because I remembered the author of the post. I added it to the post "explanation of different board sort categories" under backplane.
