So I haven't finished tearing it apart yet as I'm waiting on my new torx drivers, but from reading I see the boards are peripheral. Now does anyone know off hand if they are low, mid, or high grade?

Also, if I pull the board from the disk drive, is that considered a CD-Rom board, or is that category specific to actual computer CD-Roms?

Trying to see if it's worth my time to break down these consoles. I have about 10 dead units to breakdown if it is.

Yes most of the game console boards are High Perph, you will just need to remove those heatsinks and clamps for that grade though.

Usually you can get a flat blade screwdriver under one corner of a clamp and twist a bit to pop it but you might have to push down on the leg as you do it (been a long time since I did one)
