Hello all. I'm new to this and scrapped a few flat tvs. I numbered each pic to make it easy. Could someone tell me what category (classification) each should be? Thanks so much.

Be sure you pull off any steel shields, like on 3/7/8 and aluminum heatsinks, like on 3. All of those should be able to be popped off with a flathead screwdriver. If the shields are completely soldered on you could decide to leave them on (may affect grade) or make the extra effort to remove them.

If you do that 1-3&6-9 should be good in high peripheral.

4 I lean low peripheral cause the boards themselves look lower quality but there are IC chips and presumably gold plated pins in the connectors.

5 should manage high peripheral but again the boards look lower quality. The ribbons, if there's any glass on them, should be removed as peeling those off the glass can often break the lcd panel.

Is that the silver connector for cable? Will the RCA jacks effect the pay rate?

The connector usually is separate from the shield (or lid), why I mentioned the potential for the shields to be soldered shut. You just want to pop the bit that's shaded orange.

You can remove the whole box if it's easier but the shield is all you need to remove. It reduces the amount of the lowest value material in the board and, while the components inside are pretty standard, allows anyone checking material to see what's there.

Thanks for explaining. If most of the boards are around the same size but a couple that are long and skinny, can I break them in half to fit in the box?

I believe the prevailing recommendation is only break boards if you absolutely have to and, if you do, keep the pieces together with string/tape.

8 is actually low peripheral (maybe mid grade) due to the loss of the BGA and and large square chip. There are just a few small "maybe chips" left and a lot of junk.
4 may actually be high peripheral based on the mention that Chris makes about the thin long boards on tvs. These don't look quite like others that I have seen, but from the origin think that they may fit.

Oh good catch, I dont think I looked at the full size image on 8 and missed that missing chip.

#1 - HGP

#2 - HGP

#3 - HGP -- REMOVE the steel box cover and antenna port -- Remove aluminum heat sink from the primary chip. If the chip comes off with it, remove the chip from the board and tape it onto the back of the board.

#3 - LGP if you do none of that

#4 - LGP

#5 - HGP -- REMOVE those cables. The ends are connectors in their own category

#6 - HGP -- REMOVE antenna port

#7 - HGP - Remove antenna port and shield

#8 - LGP - (The chip was detached or missing or you removed it which lowers value)

#9 - HGP - Remove antenna port and steel box
