Has some gold fingers but also has tin squars that are soldered in. Let me know what you think.

As a general rule. Metal on a board is junk. Why not just remove it if you question leaving it or not?
Having said that. 2 known cases of leaving metal on a board that I am currently aware of. ARE: Motherboards with the metal hardware surrounding the processor socket. And. Gold Finger WIFI boards. Which leaving the metal shield on is alright according to Boardsort.
Curious though. Are you also wondering if that board qualifies as Gold Finger? I wonder myself. Submitted as High Peripheral. It will surely get accepted. But. Gold Finger. Can't say.
Here to learn like everybody else.
I will be watching this post for replies.

My local place would count this as a gold finger

Clean gold finger feels like a stretch due to the steel remaining and size of the board for a smaller number of fingers than a typical pci/expansion card. High peripheral seems likely but maybe gfc with bracket? Getting input from Chris would probably be best if you want to know for sure.

Regarding the steel fences (what I call the soldered bit of steel that holds the shield to the board), those usually can stay with no impact to a board's grade but sometimes it matters.
