Identification of this chips they appear to have gold plating on the edges.

Not sure what those are but I've seen a few, never removed them. Maybe someone can weigh in on what they are and if they have value on their own. Seeing the rest of the board they're on would help determine if they're worth pulling off.

The top picture is a 20 MHZ crystal oscillator. The X designation confirms that. Also the bottom picture is a 14.7456 MHZ oscillator also. Again the X confirms that. Some crystals will have gold underneath them. I have seen crystals having gold on them selling on Ebay for precious metal recovery. As a matter of fact I got a couple myself still in original packaging. Those aren't going for scrap. I have not seen any crystal oscillators listed on the Boardsort escrap list. You'll have to decide for yourself if it is worth it to you to "cherry pick" oscillators and make any money at it. The middle picture looks High Telecom.

Like Cat mentioned, they're gold crystal oscillators. On/Off switches. They're all labeled mostly X, Y, Z. Usually ceramic based in this form but also plastic. Mostly found on better electronic equipment or more higher end stuff. Silver oscillators are those silver canned looking things, kind of an half inch long to about an eighth. Some square, some cannister round. They have a decent amount of pure silver in them with crystal. The gold ones can go as ceramic CPU I believe once accumulated in an amount. More than likely, gold ones could fall into IC. No reason to remove unless you're taking everything else.
