You're on the right track!

1. Looks like a High grade hard drive, Non- SATA. Take pic of connection?

2. High Per, carefully remove that yellow circular object, it is a battery. Batteries must be removed. (please recycle them <3 ) Small, tiny, flathead works great if you can get in-between the hanger and batt and just roll the screwdriver. Peels it away w/o pressuring/punction the batt.

3. High Per

4. CD/DVD, quite certain I count everything there for it.

1 and 4 are cd/DVD boards

Agree with Spence on 2/3

Thank you for the IDs.

I am trying to learn, so I need to ask - why is board 3 high per and not gold edge?

Again, thanks in advance!

Game system boards are generally high peripheral. As far as gold edge, that's a very specific case (admittedly I'm not very familiar with) where there a substantial amount of gold in the board itself. Nintendo isn't doing that with a mass produced consumer board.
