Are these 3 boards all low grade peripheral or low grade telcom? All came out of Dish Network satellite receivers.

Remove the transformers. Remove heavy metal shielding. I see a few toroids. Pluck those off also. Submit as High Peripheral.

Whats the toroids, are those the round things?

Also what if i removed the broadcom BGA with Gold Tab, will it still be peripheral high?

The Toroids are the round ferrite cores with wire wrapped around them. For me. I do not remove chips. I try to clean off the junk from the board to get the best grade. Maybe just clean up those boards of the junk. And submit as Low Telecom. That just might be a better way to submit. But. Without a doubt. They will be a strong High Peripheral submission. Hopefully someone else will post a reply.
As a Low Telecom submission. If you get a downgrade. It will probably be to High Peripheral.To answer your question. To remove the Gold tab BGA. Yeah. Still High Peripheral. Again. Hope a seaoned escrapper posts here shortly. I can learn something from this post.

I pulled off one of the tabs but it was a BGA no Gold Tab. Also pulled off all the shields, transformers and round spools of copper. From what i understand when you send boards, they sort them out and will pay you for the correct grade. Me personally, i would rather send them as high peripheral and be upgraded to low telecom vs expecting low telecom and getting downgraded.

Thank you for your help and i agree, i would like to see a more experienced escrapper of boardsort chime in. I've been in the E-Waste business for 2ish years but its my first experience like this. Just trying to pay the bills like everyone else.

Same here. Just a few years with escrap myself. I got involved because I had a hoard of electronics accumulated over the years. It's nice getting a few extra dollars from stuff that could have ended in the trash. I got downgraded on some boards I thought were Gold Edge. It was explained to me exactly what Gold Edge was. My boards definately were not Gold Edge. Though one could easily be led to believe it. I feel Boardsort has good credibility. I submit through the mail. Done about 6 shipments. Satisfied with my submissions and payouts.
