I've been sorting my circuit boards, and I've gotten down to the last few I can't quite figure out what they would be graded as. Any assistance would be appreciated!

This is a lot all at once and easy for people to put off replying due to the number of boards to look at. Lost has provided guidelines for posting you may want to read through. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=19156

The diamond video card depends on the other side as is would be peripheral but if enough on the other side may elevate to gfc

IDK if its the 4th but its in the top 10 for sure. Funny thing, the CT3670 model of the sound blaster 32 was better in every way, cheaper, easier to find and with ram did everything the awe32 did and more. It even has a SB64 chip on it with DSP 4.16 and on board ram making it a true SB64 and the only one with simm slots and not the dumb ram card. But everyone seems to forget that card.

I think what sets these a32s apart is the VC instruction chip (top left) that was pulled from later sound blaster cards for legal reasons. I don’t know the full story beyond the various half-truths and myths, but I can see the VC (literally for very creative) chip top left that’s missing from later cards.

The one you speak of I believe is the one that had the proprietary synth chips. Rather than the licensed ones?

Others that regularly make the higher prices (like op) are cards with onboard controllers that are flashable (uv or electrically), like the Audio Science and and SKS, or have hard coded sound font libraries, like the Emu card pair

it did not have a true OPL3 chip, not sure if it was licensed or not but it sounds good. The output on the card is a lot cleaner then a lot of other SBs of the age too. IMO if you don't have the ram card for a AWE64 gold its the card to get for dos gaming PCs, assuming you can't get a EWS64 ether and assuming you don't want a modern card like the pico GUS or Orpheus
