Pulled a batch of components off some boards and initially assumed a lot of these were MOSFETs. After doing some digging, turns out this is a mixed bag — several IPMs, hybrid ICs, a standard IC, and what looks like a bridge rectifier. Hoping to get some input on how these would actually be sorted/graded here, since I don't want to just lump them all together if they're not equivalent.

Here's what I've got:

1. D6SBN 20 — pretty sure this is a bridge rectifier based on the +/~/~/− markings, not a transistor.
2. STA811M — looks like an SGS-Thomson dual audio power amp IC, similar hybrid-module construction to the STK part.
3. MTD1110 — haven't been able to ID this one yet, hoping someone recognizes it.
4. IRAMS12UP60A-2 — Intelligent Power Module (IPM), ~15-16 leads, used in motor drive/inverter circuits
5. IRAMS10UP60B-W — same IPM family, different rating.
6. STK621-728S — Sanyo/ON Semi hybrid IC, thick-film power module, SIP-style.
7. LA6510 — Sanyo bipolar IC, small driver/op-amp style chip.

Question for the group:

• Do IPMs (items 1-2) get sorted differently than the hybrid/driver ICs (items 3-5), or does everyone just lump these into general "IC/component scrap"?

Appreciate any input — just trying to sort this properly rather than assume it's all one bucket.

General rule for ICs for Boardsort:
-must have at least 6 legs/pins/leads (3 on each side)
-generally no inline legs, if you're not certain it's an IC don't remove it.
-removing can downgrade your boards

So for the ones you know are ICs, I would either, confirm with Boardsort before mixing or keep them with but separate from your other ICs when you send them in.

Not sure on the other questions.

My general rule of thumb has been similar to yours. I have only pulled 6 legged (or more) IC's (at least 3 on each side) or kept them on the board if they were a better grade. However, in the past, items such as these I have always thrown in my #2 bucket and wrote them off as mosfets. Now, with AI tools, I have become curious about different components and recently asked about these and they keep coming up as ICs.
