Glad to have found y'all. I have 100+ 24 and 28 pin E-PROMS of various type and manufacturer. Do they all have the same value or does the value vary with the type and/or manufacturer?

I'm assuming none of the chips have gold legs. In that case, they will go as regular IC chips.

Any that have silver legs and no caps will go as ICs.

If they have gold legs or gold or silver caps things get more exotic.

Thank you for the quick response. Upon further investigation, within the window of some of these e-proms I can see very thin golden colored wire. Should I assume these are at the IC chip rate also and if sent and they are worth more would they process them and send me the added difference? Sorry that I don't have the means to send pictures but I could give the numbers to identify the chips in question if there is a chance.

Window ICs are actually missing part of the chip. (The window for UV light to erase the chip for reprogramming). The ICs with windows follow the same rules as all the others.

The only time an IC chip may be better than IC chip rate is if it has gold gold legs or a gold, silver, or nickel heat spreader on the top or bottom.
