What type or of processor?
How to remove w/o devaluing or damaging?

For board sort its a moto/foreign gold cap if it were socketed.
It's a 68k cpu.
You can't easily removed it. It's soldered to the board. Removing it will probably get dlp ceramic or Pentium ceramic rate since there's no pins.
The board as is is high grade gold cap chip board.

I'm fairly certain that chip is socketed. Only the OP can tell for sure, though.

Blue has a point. A tight zoom does show a fibre layer. So it may be socketed. Just be real gentle trying to get it loose.
Suggest a #4or #5 standard screwdriver (flat head) gently slid it between the ceramic and fibre layer and even more gently make the tiniest twists left/right to see if there's any give.
